Develop a skillset that’s in demand worldwide and empower your enterprise to succeed in a disruptive marketplace. During this two-day course, you’ll learn the principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe), how to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains, and what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation at enterprise scale. You will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset and why it’s so effective in today’s adapt-or-die marketplace. You’ll also get practical advice on supporting Agile teams and programs, empowering a Lean Portfolio, building a continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps culture, and coordinating large solutions. Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA).
During this two-day course, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the Agile Release Train, how it delivers value, and what you can do to effectively perform your role using Scrum, Kanban, and XP. This course is designed to help you build your skills as a high-performing team member of an Agile Release Train (ART) and learn how to collaborate effectively with other teams. You will also learn how to write stories and break down features, plan and execute iterations, and plan Program Increments. Finally, you’ll learn about the continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps culture, how to effectively integrate with other teams in the program, and what it takes to continuously improve the train. Attending the class prepares participants to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Practitioner (SP).
In this two-day course, you’ll gain an understanding of the role of Scrum Master in a SAFe enterprise. Unlike traditional Scrum Master training that focuses on the fundamentals of team-level Scrum, the SAFe Scrum Master course explores the role of Scrum in the context of the entire enterprise, and prepares you to successfully plan and execute the Program Increment (PI), the primary enabler of alignment throughout all levels of a SAFe organization. This includes learning the key components of scaled Agile development, how Scrum is facilitated throughout the enterprise, and how to execute iteration planning. You’ll also discover how to build high performing Agile teams by becoming a servant leader and coach, and how to coach those teams to deliver the maximum business value that is achievable through SAFe. The SSM certification signifies that you are prepared to perform the role of Scrum Master in a SAFe environment, increasing your value to teams and organizations that are implementing SAFe.
This two-day course prepares current Scrum Masters for their leadership role in facilitating Agile team, program, and enterprise success in a SAFe®implementation. The course covers facilitation of cross-team interactions in support of the program execution and relentless improvement. It enhances the Scrum paradigm with an introduction to scalable engineering and DevOps practices; the application of Kanban to facilitate the flow of value; and supporting interactions with architects, product management, and other critical stakeholders in the larger program and enterprise contexts. The course offers actionable tools for building high-performing teams and explores practical ways of addressing Agile and Scrum anti-patterns in the enterprise. Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master (SASM). Attendees of the SAFe® ASM course are required to have one of the following certificates: Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe Practitioner (SP).
In this two-day course, you will learn how the roles of Product Owner, Product Manager, Solution Manager, and Epic Owner drive the delivery of value in the SAFe enterprise. You’ll get an overview of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), the Lean-Agile mindset, and an understanding of how the Product Owner and Product Manager roles operate in the enterprise to drive the delivery of value. Finally, you will get an in-depth understanding of the specific activities, tools, and mechanics used to effectively deliver value to the enterprise. By the end of this course, you should be able to write Epics, Capabilities, Features, and User Stories within the context of SAFe, and have a solid foundation for managing backlogs and programs in a Lean-Agile enterprise. Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® PM/PO (PMPO). Leading SAFe® 4.0 is a recommended prerequisite for students planning to attend this course.
In the two-day program, you explore how the human brain really learns, which is very different from traditional assumptions about learning. And you experience the most current “cognitive neuroscience” – the brain science behind all effective instructional design and human learning. During the class, you practice six powerful learning principles based on the best of brain science, then you apply these principles every time you train, teach, or coach others. You collect dozens of interactive instructional strategies you can use with any topic and any group of learners. You use the 4Cs Map – a powerful 4-step instructional design and delivery model – to create training specific to a topic you teach. And you also receive a 55-page resource workbook that is only available with this program, as well as copies of Sharon’s best-selling books: ”Training from the BACK of the Room!” and “Using Brain Science to Make Training Stick.”
